Welcome to my personal blog with main topics Android, Linux & Open Source!

While I am doing software development in many areas, my main fields of experience are cross-platform software (C++/Qt) and Android apps (native). In development teams I’m usually responsible for managing development services, setting up CI/CD jobs and keeping everything uptodate. For various tasks I love to script with Bash, Python or Ruby. Beside software development I’m also educated in electronics. I’m building small scale home automation, IoT and retro gaming solutions for myself and my friends, preferably with Arduino and Raspberrry Pi.

Open Source is one of my passions – I am a developer and maintainer of many open projects and regularly start contributing to additional ones. Support me on my mission! My other favourite activities include photography and being outdoor as much as possible. I am too volunteering at the local fire department.
I went to school at HTL Braunau (Electronics / Software Engineering & Mobile Computing) and studied Mobile Computing at FH Hagenberg. Now I’m employed at V-Play as software engineer.

About me Support me Projects

Yesterday I tried publishing an F-Droid repository on Github-Pages. After my first successful tries to download apps using F-Droid I added a small frontend using Jekyll.

You can find my public F-Droid repo here:

I already had experience with build-services, including F-Droid for Android apps. Because I also use it for my private projects I thought why not create a public repo also. As there will be a small count of apps, the git-repo limit of 1GB seems to be enough for now.

What is F-Droid?

F-Droid is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. The client makes it easy to browse, install, and keep track of updates on your device. - https://f-droid.org/

How to get apps from my repo?

Download and install F-Droid: https://f-droid.org/FDroid.apk
Add repository: https://gsantner.gitlab.io/fdroid/repo

Available apps

These apps are initially available:

  • XPrivacy in AppInfo / XPosed module
  • MemeTastic / MemeCreator, created at university
